< Back to Artists

I am a textile artist creating personal handstitched and freehand machined 'landscapes' using deconstructing fabrics and 'found' or re-dyed yarns. The work is in layers, of stitch and colour to create surface and texture. Having begun by studying Ceramics, I taught art and design, ceramics, and textiles before leaving to focus on my textile interests- working on events such as the York Mystery Plays and becoming a founder member of the York Textile Artists group. I now produce work for exhibition in and around Yorkshire, and regularly show in the York Open studios. I take commissions, and also host workshops for The Viking Loom and privately.

Venue: Dunroamin, Chapel Yard, TS13 5BS
