Lesley has a BA Honours degree in 3D Design Ceramics. She left teaching full time in secondary education to start a family and has been creating and exhibiting her stylised ,expressive , ceramic sculptures in galleries and ceramics shows throughout the UK for thirty years. During this time she has received awards from both her peers and arts and crafts organisations. Her inspiration is taken from animal representations in folk tales, rhymes and mythology as well as personal encounters at home and abroad. All works are individually hand built in clay and fired up to three times in an electric kiln.
