Angela Bell

< Back to Artists

Angela originally studied surface pattern design at Manchester where colour, texture and experimentation with different mediums was encouraged. Her work continues to be an eclectic mix of colour and texture. She initially likes to create an interesting surface on which to work using a variety of media. Angela works intuitively allowing the work to evolve naturally. In more recent years she attended a funded residential course in freestyle machine embroidery. This has led her to translate some of her paintings into embroideries which gives the work another dimension. They are smaller condensed images, thus creating harmonious compositions of colour and thread.

Venue: Hillside Cottage, High Barrass

Medium: Mixed Media Art
