Angela Bell

< Back to Artists

Angela originally studied surface pattern design at Manchester where the study of colour, texture and experimentation with different mediums was encouraged. Her artwork is still an eclectic mix of mediums and techniques, Angela initially likes to create an interesting surface on which to work using a variety of media. She works intuitively allowing the work to evolve naturally. Freestyle machine embroidery is another medium she uses to translate her paintings into images which gives the work another dimension. The embroideries are smaller condensed images, thus creating a harmonious composition of colour and thread.

Venue: Hardwick Mount, Barrass Square

Medium: Paintings and Embroideries
