Staithes Festival of Arts & Heritage has established itself as one of the friendliest festivals on the Yorkshire coast — a must-see weekend in the regional arts calendar.
Step inside a village like no other as the doors of cottages are thrown open, transforming Staithes into a trail of pop-up art galleries showcasing painting, print, ceramics, textiles, sculpture, photography and more.
Alongside the open studios, enjoy a programme celebrating Staithes’ rich history and heritage, including walks, talks, photographs and film shows.

Many of the trustees from previous festivals are now busy with other commitments and have decided to step down. We’re really grateful for all their hard work and the inspiration they’ve given the festival over the years.
In 2023, a new organising group came together to run the festival — made up of local business owners and full-time Staithes residents.
